About Me

I began my professional career in 1988, choreographing and later directing my first loves, ballet and musical theater.  Since then there have been very few styles and genres I haven’t touched, ranging from music videos and industrials to theme parks and cruise ships. Recently through my work in musical theater, I have earned many awards and accolades. What sets me apart from others is my professionalism, freshness, and ability to bring the most out of any talent base. Whatever style is called for, my rich experience and broad range allow me to bring the perfect touch to any professional challenge.

For the last 16 years, I have worked as a choreographer maintaining many of the shows at The Disneyland Resort in Anaheim. I am responsible for the early stages of creative development and concepts in new live entertainment productions working directly with senior production teams, collaborating with top WDI management, Disney producers, senior writers, and scenic designers. On a daily basis, I am responsible for maintaining, in some instances, all aspects of the entertainment mechanism.

As Director and/or Choreographer I have a multitude of regional credits, ABC’s The View, Live with Kelly & Michael, and Disney’s 4th D23 Expo.

I have had the opportunity to work with:

Record Producer Joel Diamond
Music Video – Choreographer
Singer-Songwriter, Arranger, Composer Randy Newman
Event Choreographer
Arnold Schwarzenegger
Event Choreographer
Actress Eden Riegel
Associate Choreographer

Born & raised in Southern California. I studied in New York and received a BFA in Ballet. I am Pilates Certified at Long Beach Dance Conditioning, Reiki Certified – Level 1 and Tahitian/Hawaiian Certified via Dance Masters of America. I taught dance in Germany, England & Switzerland. Finally, I have performed in Europe & various locations in the United States.

Choreographer Renslow has done her Fosse homework by going as straight to the source as humanly possible, picking the brains of performers who worked with the Broadway legend to find out precisely what made his choreography snap, crackle, and pop, and it shows in production number after production number that pay tribute to Fosse’s trademark turned-in knees, jutting hips, sideways shuffling, and hand-and-shoulder rolls, while at the same time exhibiting the imagination and flair that helped make Renslow’s recent You’re A Good Man Charlie Brown such an all-around delight.

The dancers give their sexy all to the rollicking crowd-pleaser "Big Spender" performing choreographer Janet Renslow's Fosse-esque moves to great allure. Renslow's work with "Rhythm of Life" is also quite rousing and engaging.

A special word about Janet Renslow’s choreography: it was novel and creative and succeeded in seeming to change the dimensions of the stage to suit the mood. Some of the dance numbers were intricate and demanding; others remarkably simple, but imaginative and delightful. Every number worked perfectly.
